Zarian to host Healthy Kids director Levee

Glendale Healthy Kids Executive Director Camille Levee will appear live on the “Larry Zarian Show” Thursday to talk about the role of her nonprofit organization in promoting health and preventive medical care to local lower-income children and their families.

While the nonprofit administers a number of youth health and fitness programs, its USC Mobile Dental Clinic is perhaps its most well-known service, which brings together a coalition of dentists and medical interns to provide free dental services to Glendale children.

Talin Janjik, a Glendale dentist who volunteers for the clinic, will also appear on the show to discuss the importance of oral health care for children.

Levee and Zarian will also go over the impacts of reduced recommended federal grant funding allotments forwarded to the City Council last month. The show airs at 7 p.m. Thursday on Channel 26. The call-in number is (818) 547-3668.
