The Glendale Community College Planetarium presents a new performance of John “J. Walt” Adamczyk’s live animation presentation “Spontaneous Fantasia” at 6:30 p.m. today on the campus, 1500 N. Verdugo Road, Glendale. Part of the proceeds supports GCC’s free K-12 science outreach program. Admission is $15, $6 for children 12 and under, and cash only. Tickets are available at the door. About 40 painters and sketch artists will be painting on site during the Paint-Out at The Americana at Brand from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is part of the Art Day celebration created by short-story author and screenwriter Becky Mate. For more information, visit www.juliesnyder.com.
