Benefits day for PATH Achieve

RE/MAX Elite will sponsor Community Appreciation Day to benefit PATH Achieve Glendale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at RE/MAX Elite, 2505 Cañada Blvd., Glendale.

Local business owners will come together to raise awareness of the life-changing work PATH Achieve does for the homeless.

Pacific BMW is the sponsor of the featured raffle for a BMW 328i at $100 per ticket. A short presentation will highlight PATH Achieve Glendale. There will be food, music and children’s activities. Admission is free.

Names sought for Diamond Awards

The Cultural Affairs Section of the city’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and Arts and Culture Commission seeks nominations for the Glendale Diamond Awards for Achievement in the Arts.

In its third year, the awards program recognizes artists, arts organizations, community members and businesses who have contributed substantially to the cultural life of the community. Anyone can make a nomination by the deadline Wednesday.

Recipients will be recognized at an event Dec. 4 at the Americana at Brand Community Room.
