Candlelight tours at museum

The Doctors’ House Museum in Brand Park will hold traditional candlelight tours from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The museum will be decorated with Victorian-style live greenery, including a parlor Christmas tree and vintage ornaments.

Entry fee for everyone is $1. No reservations are needed. The same event will take place Dec. 20.

Four homes part of Hoover tour

The Hoover High School PTSA’s 51st annual Tour of Homes will take visitors through four exceptional homes in the northwest and Rossmoyne areas of Glendale on Saturday.

Tickets are on sale at Hoover and other select locations for $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the tour, which will go from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Adobe hosts holiday event

Casa Adobe de San Rafael will open its doors Friday for an annual three-day holiday event that celebrates Christmas and ethnic traditions.

Glendale Beautiful and Parks, Recreation and Community Services will host the adobe’s free open house and the Fiesta de Las Luminarias (Festival of Lights).

The festival will showcase holiday lights that are hung on the adobe’s rooftop and paper bags that are lit by candlelight around the 1.5-acre park.

The adobe at 1330 Dorothy Drive will open 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, 2 to 4 p.m. for a pinata party and 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
