HINCKLEY — TROTTA

Heather Michelle Hinckley and Matthew Trotta, both of New York City, have announced their engagement and are planning a September wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bruce and Debbie Hinckley of Glendale.

She attended Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena and received a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Communications. She graduated magna cum laude and was an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

She is the director of development at Cristo Rey New York High School, a school in East Harlem that serves students from low-income families, and has a unique corporate work study program.

Hinckley volunteers her time with the New York Junior League and serves on the executive committee of the Young Executives for Success, a volunteer branch of Dress for Success, which helps disadvantaged women take charge of their lives. The young professionals volunteer, raise funds and network to further this mission. She is also a member of the Juniors of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

The groom-elect is the son of Vincent and Jill Trotta of Katonah, N.Y.

He attended John Jay High School in Katonah and received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from Syracuse University.

He is an account executive with Federated Media, a next-generation media and publishing company. Matthew is a member of 212 Interactive Advertising Club.
