OBITUARY

PHILIP R. OILER

Philip R. Oiler, 94, of Newhall, who lived in La Crescenta from 1958 to 2006, died Monday.

Born Oct. 16, 1914, in Whittier, he was a retired tool and die engineer.

His wife, former Glendale News-Press Executive Editor Betty Preston Oiler, preceded him in death in 2002. He is survived by daughter Pam and son-in-law Bill Beauer, of Canyon Country; grandchildren Toby Beauer-Munitz, of Carlsbad, and Clint Beauer of Chandler, Ariz.; great-grandchildren Zachary and Noah Munitz and Peyton and Maggie Beauer.

A memorial service will be at Santa Paula Airport in the near future. Memorial gifts can be made to the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula.
