Hoover 15, Village Christian 3: The Tornadoes improved to 6-6 on the season with a convincing nonleague home win against the Crusaders on Wednesday. Hoover’s doubles teams of Nick Cho and John Youn and Ron Glandian and Shero Beglarian each swept their three sets.

GIRLS’ TRACK AND FIELD
Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 69, Louisville 58: The visiting Tologs set a school record in the 4x400-meter relay Wednesday in a Mission League dual meet at Crespi High. Drew Washington, Stephanie Vargas, Katie Hernandez and Erin Hartwig worked together to win the relay in 4 minutes 8 seconds. Hartwig posted first-place performances in the 800 (2:28) and the 1,600 (5:32). Washington won the triple jump with a leap of 31 feet 10 inches and the long jump (15-7). Tina Smith captured the pole vault (7-6) to spur the Tologs (3-1).
