PTA NEWS: Graduates congratulated for moving on

Share

Congratulations to the Hoover class of 2009! And many thanks to the parent volunteers who helped to make both graduation and baccalaureate memorable events for our seniors and their families.

Congratulations also to all who were honored at the Hoover Awards Night. Many honors were bestowed on Hoover students, including $6,000 in PTSA scholarships to deserving seniors. Funding for the scholarships was provided by Hoover PTSA proceeds from the Tour of Homes and football concessions. Thank you to everyone who participated in those events to make these scholarships possible.

At Hoover’s last PTSA meeting of the year, new officers were installed for the 2009-10 school year. They are Christine Walters, president; Sylmara Multini, first vice president; Dorene Bennett, second vice president; Addora Beall, third vice president; Vic Bedrossian, fourth vice president; Kathy Yepez, recording secretary; Pam Sorem, corresponding secretary; Sandy Bovberg, treasurer; Linda Hom, financial secretary; Vilma Bedrossian, auditor; Ed Torres, historian; and Julie Iezza, parliamentarian.

Thanks to all parents and staff who helped to make the 2008-09 school year a success. Everyone working together is what makes Hoover so great! For the latest Hoover news, visit www.hooverhs.org.
