Youth tennis program offered

The LA84 Foundation, in conjunction with the Southern California Tennis Assn. and the National Junior Tennis League, will conduct a six-week clinic for the who can’t afford tennis lessons.

The event, which will kick off Monday, will be held in two sessions: 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Glendale High School, 1440 E. Broadway, Glendale.

Sessions held Monday and Wednesday are geared for those between the ages of 6-12. Tuesday and Thursday sessions are meant for ages 10-18. The sessions, which will run through Aug. 14, are limited to 25 people.

The cost is $10 per person. T-shirt, instruction and more will be featured.

Annual soccer academy camp set

Crescenta Valley High girls’ soccer Coach Reggie Rivas will conduct his ninth annual Soccer Academy Camp from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 3-6 at the Glendale Sports Complex, 2200 Fern Lane, Glendale.

The first 200 registered campers before July 15 will receive a $50 travel gift card.

Hoover High seeking boys’ soccer coach

Hoover High is looking for a boys’ varsity soccer coach.

Basketball camp set to take place

Crescenta Valley High boys’ basketball Coach Shawn Zargarian will conduct a basketball camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 20-24 at Crescenta Valley High’s gymnasium, 2900 Community Ave., La Crescenta.

The camp is geared for athletes 7-13.

The cost is $225 per person. Instruction, guest speakers, T-shirts, games and more will be featured.
