Annual soccer academy camp set

Crescenta Valley High girls’ soccer Coach Reggie Rivas will conduct his ninth annual Soccer Academy Camp from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 3 through Aug. 6 at the Glendale Sports Complex, 2200 Fern Lane, Glendale.

Running classes set to be offered

California State University Los Angeles track and field Coach Gretchen Corrales will teach a youth running basic class at the Glendale Sports Complex, 2200 Fern Lane, Glendale.

The 45-minute sessions will begin at 4 p.m. Fridays, Sept. 18 through Nov. 6.

Sessions will focus on the basics of running like a professional athlete and will include stretching, breathing technique, running with obstacles and nutrition.
