The Glendale Bears junior pee-wee squad defeated the Covina Vikings, 34-13, on Nov. 22 to claim the Bears’ second straight conference title.

Glendale’s Drake Beasley led the way with four touchdowns, including a 54-yard kickoff return for a score.

The defense was led by Isaiah Sustaeta.

The team, in addition to Beasley and Sustaeta, consists of Daniel Torres, Bryce Benton, Harry Hernandez, Joshua Santos, Leonard Alvarez, Benjamin Brandt, Jerry Calderon, Adrian Chavez, Victor Cortez, Adam Fawal, Angel Garcia, Justin Garcia, Christian Jimenez, Christian Leydel, Daniel Lima, Remy Martin, Dominic Maynes, Johnnie Padilla, Francisco Ruelas, Quinton Smith, Anthony Tamayo, Daniel Tamayo and Daniel Lopez.

The team is coached by Johnnie Padilla and Jerry Calderon.

In addition, Bears receiving scholar awards for having a 3.2 grade-point average or better were Torres, Anthony Tamayo, Beasley, Leydell, Padilla, Ruelas, Martin, Brandt, Cortez, Maynes and Lopez.
