Donald Edward Boggs, loving husband, father, & grandfather passed away Oct 13, 2010 at his home in Lancaster, CA.

Born 1937 in Los Angeles and raised in Burbank, CA. He was the only child of Alfred Edward & Rose Eleanor Boggs.

Don worked as a Meteorologist for the National Weather Service. His career afforded him the opportunity to work in several states throughout the U.S. He retired from the Air Route Traffic Control Center in Palmdale after a 37 year career. Throughout his career he gained numerous awards and recognitions. He was a Freemason and a lifelong Elks Lodge member. He was a devoted member of the Lancaster United Methodist Church. Don enjoyed weather, traveling, volunteering & expanding his education. He especially loved spending time with family and friends. Don loved life. He always enjoyed a new adventure. In retirement he enjoyed acting. He was a member of Screen Actors Guild. Don loved to travel. He enjoyed meeting new people and sharing stories. Everyone he met remembered him for his wonderful sense of humor. Don touched the lives of many people, always remembering to keep them near to his heart. Don will be especially remembered for his sense of humor, spirit of adventure, and kindheartedness. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son Douglas Boggs. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Norma Boggs, his son Donald Boggs and two Stepsons William & John Schwemmer. He has five grandchildren: Jon Boggs; Jennifer Boggs; Matthew Boggs; Travis Schwemmer; & Molly Boggs and three great grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday October 24, 2010 at 3pm at Lancaster United Methodist Church 918 West Ave J Lancaster, CA. 93535.
