Meg Whitman campaigns at Porto’s

Share

Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman is creating a huge stir at Porto’s Bakery on Brand Boulevard this morning as supporters and detractors alike combine in and outside the restaurant.

“Queen Meg,” the doppelganger actress hired by opponents to spoof the former Ebay executive on the campaign trail and other public events, also arrived at the bakery to work her gig.

Whitman’s visit comes just two days after she told Fox News that her former illegal immigrant housekeeper should be deported.

Polls have showed her losing favor among Latino and women voters.

The Cuban eatery also served as a campaign stop for Republican Lt. Gov. Abel Maldonado on Wednesday.

And later today, Sen. Dianne Feinstein is scheduled to join local officials on the steps of the Glendale Police Department to rally against Proposition 19, the measure that would legalize and tax marijuana.
