Former La Crescenta resident Rob Nicholas Stone married Kelly Jane Sample at the Forest Chapel in Mammoth Lakes. Pastor Mel Tari officiated.

The couple were married at a beautiful outdoor chapel nestled in the forest against a backdrop of fall colors, a sparkling lake and snow-capped mountains.

The reception was at the elegant mountain lodge, Westin Monache, where guests celebrated with dining and dancing.

The maid of honor was a friend of the bride, Tiffany Chin. The bridesmaids were Juliana Janisch, Sara Sample, Mallory Bird, Sarah Wedel, Jami Scott, Brittany Walters and Jennifer Rorick.

The best man was Bryan Longpre. The ushers were Aaron Poplar, Brad Sample, Derek Sample, Collin Wedel, Zack Garcia, Brian Sweeney and Mike Simon.

For their honeymoon, the couple enjoyed each other’s company at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara. They have made their home in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The bride is the daughter of Jane and Jeff Sample of Dallas. She graduated from Pepperdine University and received her bachelor’s degree in telecommunications with an emphasis in television and motion picture production. She was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority during her time at Pepperdine. She now works for the One for One Foundation, an organization helping villages by means of microfinance and education.

The groom is the son of La Crescenta residents Nancy and Chip Stone. He graduated from Pepperdine University as well, with a bachelor’s degree in international studies. He was the founder of the One for One Foundation.
