Raymond De Leonardis

Raymond DeLeonardis, 95, died on February 5, 2011.

Born in Albany, New York, Ray had lived in Glendale since 1955. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II in the Pacific. Ray owned small businesses in Los Angeles and Anaheim prior to joining the engineering staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Burbank, where he worked until retirement in 1978. Ray is survived by his wife Marcella (Grenier) and his son, Edward DeLeonardis (Alice) of Arroyo Grande, grandchildren, Stephen, Michael and Andrew and daughter-in-law Rose De Leonardis ; siblings, Weezie Haynes (Ed) and Dee Dee Snowbarger (Roger), all of Calif. He was predeceased by his son, Robert and his siblings, Rudolph, Robert and Arthur DeLeonardis and Florence Slac.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Incarnation Catholic Church, Glendale. Reception will follow the Mass in the Church Hall.

Private inurnment will follow the next day at San Fernando Mission Cemetery at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation (www.parkinson.org), or your favorite charity.
