Florence I “Flo” House

Died peacefully at her new home in Carson City, NV, complications of Altzheimers disease. Born and raised in Hopewell, VA, she left for So. California as a new bride with her husband, DeWitt after W.W. II. After raising five children she started a career with Glendale College in the Admissions and Records Dept. Everyone who knew “Flo” understood how much she loved life, especially music and dancing. She “never knew a stranger” and was generous to all. The other side of Florence was her love of God and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, DeWitt, her son, DeWitt Jr. and a Grandson, Alex Haas. She is survived by one sister, Arlene Stanton; four children, Pamela Mears, Leslie Haas, Gregory House and Curtis House; and Grand- children Janeen Begley, Braden Mears, Roland Haas Jr., Emily Haas and Sydney House, also two Great-grandchildren Vivian and Eli Begley.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of LaCrescenta, 4441 LaCrescenta Ave., La Crescenta, CA.
