Margaret “Irene” Tesoro

Irene Tesoro, born September 5, 1922 in Pt. Verde, Newfoundland, passed away March 20, 2011 surrounded by family in her Burbank, CA home.

Irene is survived by her children Peter, Mary, and Anne, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and her sister Bertha Ryan. She was preceded in death by her husband John Tesoro (1976) and her son David Tesoro (2004).

Prior to immigrating to the US around 1945, where she met her husband John Tesoro, Irene attended nursing school in St. John’s, Newfoundland. After raising her children, Irene worked for many years at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank.

Irene was an accomplished bridge player and had many friends in local bridge clubs. She was a Burbank resident since 1951 where she raised her family and was a dedicated wife and Mother.

She will be missed.

There will be a graveside ash burial service on April 10 at 11:30 am at Pierce Brothers Valhalla on Victory Blvd. in North Hollywood, followed by a gathering at her daughter Anne’s home in Burbank.
