Ada B. Duly Hagen

Ada B. Duly Hagen, 94, passed away Wednesday at her home following a brief illness. She was born June 20, 1916 in Gilman City, Missouri and has lived in Benicia for the past 22 years.

Ada and her late husband John Hagen owned and operated Hagen’s Antiques and House of Clocks on First Street in Benicia until he passed away in 1999. Prior to Mr. Hagen, she was married to Douglas Scott Duly, owner of Duly Aviation in Southern California. Mr. Duly passed away in 1987.

Ada was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend and will be missed by all. She was an accomplished pianist, organist, seamstress and needlepoint artist. Her faith and her family were of the greatest importance in her life. She travelled the world with her first husband, even witnessing a revolution in Peru.

Ada is survived by her daughter Peggy Duly of Benicia; son Ronald Douglas (Dede) Duly of Burbank; grandchildren Kimberly (Scott) Duly of Virginia, Jill (Troy) Winters of Minnesota, Amy (Richard) McKeough of Sydney, Australia Laura (Micah) Witham of Minnesota and Bryan (Jamie) Duly of Burbank and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Douglas Scott Duly in 1987, John Hagen in 1999 and a son Douglas Scott Duly, Junior, in 1942.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 7th, 1:00 PM at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, CA on Thursday, June 9th at 1:00 PM. The family prefers donations to the donor’s favorite charity.
