Nicole Anderson

Nicole Anderson age 32 died July 17, 2011 in an aircraft accident in Winslow, Arizona. She was born on August 30, 1978 in Glendale, Ca and lived most of her life in La Crescenta, Ca. Nicole attended La Crescenta Grammar School, Rosemont Middle School and graduated from Crescenta Valley High School in 1996. In 2000 she obtained an Associate’s degree at Glendale Community College and then earned a bachelor’s degree at Cal State L.A. in 2003.

Nicole joined the Simi Valley Police Department in November of 2003 and remained there until her untimely passing. Her many interests include traveling, snow skiing, boating and riding her bicycle. She loved to be with her family and loved her work family too. All of whom will miss her to no end.

Nicole is survived by her mother Michele Anderson of Montrose, Ca; father Alan Anderson (Sabrina) of Monument, Co; grandparents Bob and Bea Berryman of La Crescenta, Ca; Great grandparent Gilbert Cendejas of Montrose, Ca and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Everyone who knew her will dearly miss her warm smile, her energy and her sense of humor.

She went to work every day knowing her life was on the line so some time ago she prepared a sentiment for those she may leave behind one day. It says “I loved my family very much. I was honored to have a career in law enforcement and work with the best. Don’t be sad I am gone. Be happy about and remember the time we spent together.”

A memorial service will be held in Nicole’s honor Tuesday July 26, 2011 10:30 AM at the Simi Covenant Church in Simi Valley, Ca. Assistance with the service arrangements has been entrusted to Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home.
