Gold Line stabbing victim in critical but stable condition

A 33-year-old man was in critical but stable condition Saturday after being stabbed during what began as a fist fight on the Metro Gold Line as it traveled through Pasadena, authorities said.

The victim, whose name was not given, was aboard the northbound light rail train about 6:30 p.m. Friday when he began fighting with Jose Paul Vasquez Flores, 36, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

Metro deputies and authorities with the Pasadena police and fire departments met the train at the Memorial Park Station at 125 E. Holly St. in Pasadena. LA NOW.
