Keuroghelian lands commission appointment

Repeat City Council candidate Chahe Keuroghelian won’t be ruling on city personnel decisions, but instead will help shape decisions about architectural designs.

The City Council on Tuesday approved Councilman Rafi Manoukian’s appointment of Keuroghelian to Design Review Board No. 2. The 4-1 vote came about two weeks after the council denied his nomination to the Civil Service Commission, which rules on personnel issues.

Councilman Dave Weaver objected to Keuroghelian’s nomination both times, noting the fact that Keuroghelian was fired from his job as Glendale Police Department spokesman.
