Occupy movement should focus on D.C.

Share

Oh, Amiee Klem. Since you feel Washington is ignoring this noble Occupy movement (“Laughing all the way to the bank,” Nov. 11), the 99%, please suggest they pull away from the evil 1% bankers and start over.

Begin their rally in front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Maybe pitch a tent or two within the Hollywood colony, aka West Coast White House — the 1%.

Now, remember the compassionate folks in D.C. — Sen. Chris Dodd and Rep. Barney Frank, administrators of Fannie-Freddy who became multi-millionaires during their stint on the job. These elitists vowed every family was entitled to be a homeowner. In their zeal they mandated the banks to loan, requirements be damned!

Banks were unprincipled with their bundling and selling of these bad loans. Then Washington, against most opinions, bailed out the banks.

The czars are, by design, erasing the middle class.
