PTA News: CV High hosts boutique and festival

The annual Crescenta Valley High School Prom Plus Holiday Home Tour has been canceled this year, but there are some great locations lined up for 2012.

In place of this event, join the fun at a new tradition — Prom Plus Holiday Boutique and Food Truck Festival. The festivities will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at St. Luke’s of the Mountain Church on the corner of Foothill Boulevard and Rosemont Avenue, rain or shine.

There will be wonderful vendors, great breads and treats from Berolina Bakery, incredible opportunity drawings, food trucks galore, and musical entertainment provided by the talented Rosemont and CV students. Contact Evelyn at (818) 631-1124 or Lisa at (818) 314-9810 for additional information.

Valley View Elementary

PTA invites families to Game Night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 in the auditorium. This is a great opportunity for families to spend some time together. Also, at the end of the evening, the games are raffled off to lucky winners.

The Instrumental Music Winter Concert takes place during assemblies on Wednesday, Dec. 21 in the auditorium.

Dine Out all day Thursday, Dec. 15 at Joselito’s, 2345 Honolulu Ave., Montrose. A donation of 20% of your purchase will be given to the school. After dinner, cruise over to Paradise Ice Cream/Frozen Yogurt, 2323 Honolulu Ave., Montrose, and a portion of your purchase price between 2 p.m. and closing will also be donated.

Dunsmore Elementary

Dunsmore Hilltoppers are looking forward to the annual Hollydays Boutique Friday, Dec. 9 through Tuesday, Dec. 13. There will be lots of unique and one-of-a-kind gifts for purchase that go easy on the pocketbook.

The Chorus concert was at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the auditorium.

A special thank you goes to the Crescenta Valley High School Jazz Ensemble for performing holiday music for the November PTA meeting.

Monte Vista Elementary

The PTA is hosting its annual “Santa's Secret Shop” on Dec. 15, 16, and 19 during school hours. This is a great opportunity for children to come and purchase inexpensive presents for their family, friends and other loved ones.

Clark Magnet High

The PTSA Holiday Snack for Teachers is at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 in the teachers’ lounge.
