More strong winds may be headed to Southern California
The National Weather Service is warning of possibly strong, potentially damaging winds hitting Southern California from Thursday night through Saturday.
Damaging gusts up to 60 mph could blow through Ventura and Los Angeles counties, the weather service says. The peak is expected to be late Thursday night into Friday morning.
Although it’s still too early to tell, the low-pressure system appears reminiscent of the scenario that brought damaging northerly winds to the region earlier this month, weather service officials said.
