Resident keeps quest for lost dog alive with streetside banner

Share

A Burbank resident is taking her large “lost dog” banner to the streets again today after her pooch, Riley, escaped through a hole in a backyard fence Dec. 16.

The search for the mixed-breed dog first turned into a prominent display on Hollywood Way at the intersections with Victory and Chandler boulevards on Christmas Eve, and will be resurrected today at Burbank Boulevard.

The dog’s owner, Veronica Wylie, said in an email that the public’s response has been heartening -- complete strangers have come out to assist “because they want to do a good thing for a girl and her beloved dog.”

Riley is microchipped and a $1,000 reward is on the table.

The phone number to call with information on Riley’s whereabouts is (818) 935-8460.
