The chief of staff for a Los Angeles Unified School District board member was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after leaving the gym in Glendale this morning.

Sarah Bradshaw, 47, who is the chief of staff for Los Angeles Unified school board member Bennett Kayser, was taken into custody about 1:55 a.m. on Maryland and Wilson avenues after police stopped her for an undisclosed traffic violation, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

Officers seized a small plastic bag containing marijuana inside Bradshaw’s vehicle, Lorenz said.

She agreed to take a chemical substance test, the results of which are still pending, he added.

Bradshaw was booked into the department’s jail in connection with driving under the influence of drugs and possessing a small amount of marijuana, Lorenz said.

Gayle Pollard-Terry, deputy director of communications for Los Angeles Unified, declined to comment on the arrest, saying personnel issues are confidential.
