Police arrested 17 motorists this Memorial Day weekend who were suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Seven of the motorists were arrested during a saturation patrol on Saturday, according to Glendale police. Ten vehicles were impounded during the operation.
Another 10 motorists were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol during a sobriety checkpoint Friday on Brand Boulevard and Vassar Street.
During the checkpoint, 16 motorists were also arrested on suspicion of various driver’s license violations and 18 vehicles were impounded.
