Burglars steal 1,000 Vicodin pills from Glendale pharmacy
Burglars smashed the front window of a South Glendale pharmacy early Friday and stole 1,000 pills of Vicodin, police said.
A witness reported the broken glass about 12:29 a.m. at Memorial Medical Pharmacy on the 1500 block of South Central Avenue, according to reports.
When police arrived to the pharmacy, they discovered a shoe print on a piece of glass.
Police soon discovered that burglars stole two 500-pill count bottles of Vicodin, but left behind money in a cabinet.
The street value of each Vicodin pill is $5 to $10, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.
The wholesale value for 1,000 pills of Vicodin is $300 to $500, he added.
