Glendale postpones review of smoking restrictions for apartment buildings

Share

The City Council on Tuesday postponed by one week its review of placing smoking restrictions on apartment units so that Councilman Rafi Manoukian, who was absent, could weigh in.

The city currently restricts smoking in common areas of apartment buildings, but the City Council is now slated to review proposed bans on smoking inside individual units, or limiting smoking to designated sections of a building.

In addition, the council is slated to review loosening rules that limit smoking in outdoor dining areas of restaurants. The council reviewed the issue last August, but kept the status quo.
