Tow truck driver allegedly assaulted while trying to repossess car at Glendale Hilton

A man and woman were arrested Thursday after fighting with a tow truck driver who tried to repossess their Mercedes in the Hilton Glendale parking lot, police said.

Collina Arnold, 27, of Grover Beach and Armen Gukusan, 32, of Glendale were taken into custody on suspicion of robbery after they tried to unhook the Mercedes from the tow truck, according to Glendale police.

Gukusan had reportedly told the tow truck driver that he wasn’t taking the car because he made payments, police said.

Gukusan allegedly tried entering the Mercedes, so the driver blocked him, police said. But when Gukusan allegedly became aggressive, the tow truck driver took him to the ground.

Soon after, Arnold allegedly went up to the driver and punched him in the face, police said.

After a brief scuffle, Gukusan and Arnold allegedly jumped into the Mercedes and tried to back it away, but it was still hooked to the tow truck, police said. The pair then got out and allegedly tried to put the tow truck driver in a headlock as Arnold punched him three to four times on the face, according to police.

Police arrived a short time later and arrested the pair.
