Glendale police are seeking information on a carjacking at Fremont Park last week in which a BMW was stolen at gunpoint from a woman and her two friends.

The 21-year-old woman’s 2003 silver BMW was recovered a day after the carjacking on Wednesday in Huntington Park, where police engaged a pursuit with the robbery suspects, described as three men and a woman, according to Glendale Police Department reports.

Huntington Park police chased the suspects, who eventually got away, police said.

The woman was seated in her BMW’s passenger seat and listening to music at about 8:10 p.m., while her two friends were talking just outside the car in the park’s south parking lot in the 700 block of Kenilworth Avenue, police said.

Three men approached her friends and asked them for cigarettes, police said. As her friend approached the men to offer them cigarettes, one of them pulled out a gun and shoved it into the friend’s stomach.

Another one of her friends asked the men what was going on, but that only prompted the gunman to point the black gun at him, police said.

As the other two men reached into one of her friend’s pockets and took his cellphone, her other friend tossed his belongings into the nearby bushes, police said.

Meanwhile, the gunman leaned into the BMW and tapped her shoulder with the gun, police said.

He pointed the gun at her as the second man entered the driver’s side door and told her to get out of the car, police said.

The second man started reversing the BMW while she was still seated inside, police said. One of her friends grabbed her arm and helped her exit.

The gunman and the third man fled on foot toward a tunnel near Patterson and Kenilworth avenues. The second man drove off on Kenilworth Avenue.

The gunman was described as a Latino, in his 20s, 5 feet 8, with a thin build and an “F” tattooed on the back of his neck. He was wearing a black and gray Seattle Seahawks hat and a dark gray, baggy sweatshirt with a logo on the front.

The second man was described as Latino, 17 to 18 years old, 5 feet 8, 240 pounds with black hair, a mustache and acne on his cheeks. He was wearing a baggy sweatshirt and black pants.

The third man was Latino, in his late teens or early 20s and 5 feet 8 with a thin build. He was wearing a sweatshirt and dark baggy clothes.
