Temperatures on Tuesday could top out at more than 100 degrees in what should be the hottest day of the week.

In the Burbank-Glendale area, daytime temperatures could hit 104 degrees on Tuesday according to the National Weather Service.

Areas of San Gabriel, San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys, could reach 101, 104 and 108, respectively, the L.A. Times reported.

Starting on Wednesday, temperatures should fall back into the high-80s to low-90s for most of the week before heating up again on Sunday, the weather service said.
