Man jumps from Ocean View bridge onto 210 Freeway

A man was transported to a hospital Monday evening after he apparently jumped from the bridge at Ocean View Boulevard onto the Foothill (210) Freeway, officials said.

A passerby notified authorities that the man may have jumped off the bridge just before 4:30 p.m., said Sgt. Burton Brink of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene, where they found the man, whose identity wasn’t immediately available, lying on the freeway, he said.

The extent of the man’s injuries were not immediately known, Brink said.
