[UPDATE 7:55 a.m.: The California Highway Patrol has reopened all lanes following a fiery crash involving two semi trucks shut down all westbound lanes on the 210 Freeway in La Crescenta early Tuesday.]

Crews scrambled to clean up the debris before rush hour.

The trucks collided on the westbound 210 just east of Lowell Avenue at about 12:03 a.m. “and one became fully engulfed” in flames, California Highway Patrol Officer Jennifer Cassidy told the Los Angeles Times.

Cassidy said alcohol was not suspected to have played a role in the crash.

Crews are hoping to have all lanes open by 6:30 a.m., the CHP said.

The Pennsylvania Avenue onramp remains closed, the CHP said.
