- A fire on the Foothill (210) freeway after two big rigs crashed into each other just after midnight on Tuesday caused all westbound lanes on the 210 freeway in La Crescenta to be shut down till about 8:00 a.m. No injuries were reported

Alcohol, drugs and a high rate of speed appear to have been factors in a fiery car wreck in September that claimed the lives of five young people and left one severely injured. The driver of the Nissan Altima involved in the single-car crash, Stephen Stoll, 23, had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, according to toxicology reports released Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
Burbank’s city manager declined to reinstate a former Burbank police officer despite an independent arbitrator’s advisory ruling that the former officer should get his job back, records show.
- Prosecutors on Monday charged a Glendale man for allegedly possessing 15 pounds of methamphetamine, which were found inside a Long Beach home.
