Montrose to celebrate Founders Day Sunday
Montrose will celebrate its 101st birthday on Sunday with a Founders Day event.
The celebration, hosted by the Montrose Merchants group, will kick off at 10 a.m. with outdoor dining offered by local restaurants, live music, an expanded children’s play area and retail booths in the 2200 block Honoulu. It will be adjacent to the neighborhood’s weekly Sunday Harvest Market on the 2300 block.
An awards ceremony is scheduled at 2 p.m. at the stage on Ocean View to honor local community members, followed by a cake cutting.
