City departments delivered in a crisis

I would like to thank the city of Glendale Police, Fire, and Water & Power departments for the superb job they did in handling the runaway-truck situation on Dunsmore Avenue in Crescenta Heights late Friday afternoon. Power was back within two hours for several homes in our area and before dawn in the remaining homes, including ours.

I was certain, given my experience with Glendale Water & Power in the more than 20 years we have lived here, that we would not be without power for long, and this was true once again. I appreciate the Police and Fire departments’ concern for our safety and medical needs. It is important to acknowledge a job so well done. We appreciate you.
