Council did what it had to do

The Glendale City Council did what it had to do (“Council imposes union contract,” May 8), in line with treatment of other represented city employee groups.

In the big picture, labor unions are just about the only institutions opposing the immiseration of all but the powerful and privileged in this country. So fight on, IBEW.
