Letter: Barnes would be great council addition

Re: “Kudos to Devine’s speech,” Mailbag, March 26. I also love the city of Glendale, where I have been a resident for 57 years. I too heard a speech at a recent meeting, this time by candidate Rick Barnes. He had the same knowledge of what needs to be done as Ms. Devine. Who doesn’t? There are several candidates for the upcoming City Council election who would equally serve, but not Mike Mohill.

I am sorry to see the News-Press become a platform for people not qualified to serve Glendale in this too rapidly growing city. However, I think Rick Barnes would make a great member to the Glendale City Council!
