Falcons ready for tie


Crescenta Valley 2, Burbank 2: An Alex Berger goal off a throw-in inside the final minute of regulation saved the Falcons (4-0-6) from their first loss of the season in a Pacific League match Friday at Burbank.

Berger also assisted on Pavle Atanackovic's first-half goal. Crescenta Valley, which tied Glendale in its league opener on Tuesday, is 0-0-2 in league.

St. Francis 3, Crespi 0: Billy McCreary, Thomas Banks and Derek Bell all scored goals for visiting St. Francis, which improved to 2-7-4 and 1-1 in the Mission League on Friday. Goalkeeper Luca Coppola record the shutout.


Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 4, Louisville 0: Savannah Viola scored in the fifth minute of the second half to break a 248-minute scoreless drought for the Tologs, who got two goals from Kayla Mills and one from Hanna Armendariz in a Mission League contest at Occidental College on Friday.

Goalkeeper Lindsey Espe recorded the shutout for Sacred Heart (8-3-1, 1-1 in league).

Flintridge Prep 5, Westridge 0: Goalkeeper Casey Cousineau scored on a free kick and recorded her seventh shutout of the season Friday to lead the Rebels to a Prep League road victory.

Samantha Davies scored twice for Prep (8-1-1, 2-0), which also received goals from Kaelin King and Maddi Bray.

Hoover 4, Muir 0: Talin Kojababian and Jordan Miller each scored twice for the Tornadoes (3-2, 1-1) in a Pacific League road match Friday.


Crespi 71, St. Francis 50: The Golden Knights led Friday night's Mission League road game by one point at halftime, but found the Celts too much to handle down the stretch. Tei Vanderford scored 20 points for St. Francis (6-9, 0-2), which got 16 more from Emerson Castaneda.


Flintridge Prep 11, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 4: Suzanna Tan registered six goals for the Rebels (3-1) in a nonleague win Friday.
