Vardan Adzhinyan posted wins of 6-0, 6-0 for the Tornadoes, who received a 6-1, 7-5, 6-3 doubles sweep from Arthur Arutyunyan and Danny Kim.
Crescenta Valley 14, Pasadena 4: Tim Chong and Patrick Meserkhani swept their three doubles sets, 6-4, 6-1, 6-0, on Tuesday to spark the visiting Falcons in a Pacific League win. Crescenta Valley (1-5, 1-3 in league) suffered a 10-8 nonleague home loss Monday against La Cañada. Chong and Meserkhani swept, 6-1, 6-3, 6-1.
Flintridge Prep 11, Maranatha 7: Flintridge Prep received a singles sweep from Albert Lee and a doubles sweep from Daniel Nieto and Alex Khalsa on Tuesday to pick up the nonleague victory. Lee won, 6-0, 6-4, 6-3. Nieto and Khalsa worked together to win, 6-3, 6-3, 6-0.
Burroughs 18, Glendale 0: The host Nitros dropped a Pacific League match Tuesday. Glendale fell to 3-2, 3-1 in league.
Milken Community 206, Flintridge Prep 219: Jack Bouchard carded a three-over-par 39 on Tuesday for the Rebels in a Prep League match at Woodley Lakes Golf Course. Josh Kim added a 41 for Flintridge Prep (2-2, 0-2 in league).
South Pasadena 3, Flintridge Prep 0: Chadd Cosse had six kills and Kareem Ismail added five on Tuesday for the Rebels in a 25-12, 25-15, 25-14 nonleague home loss. Flintridge Prep fell to 3-5.
Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 3, St. Francis 1: Chris Thompson had 40 assists Monday for the host Golden Knights, who suffered a 25-21, 25-21, 20-25, 27-25 Mission League loss. Michael Bacall and Charles McCarthy collected 18 and 15 kills, respectively, for St. Francis (6-2, 2-2 in league).
Glendale Community College 8, Pima (Ariz.) 1: The Vaqueros improved to 4-6 with a dominant nonconference win in which singles players Trevor Campbell didn't lose a game and Grayson Frazier, Andre Ratavousian, Francisco Ochoa-Garcia and Mario Ruiz all swept. Campbell and Frazier, Ratavousian and Chaz Hall and Rick Ivynian and Eric Khanlarian won in doubles.
Pima College (Ariz.) 8, Glendale 1: Samantha Sismundo won in singles to claim the lone win for the Vaqueros (3-5).
L.A. Pierce College 5, Glendale Community College 4: The visiting Vaqueros yielded a run in the bottom of the ninth inning in a Western State Conference South Division contest on Tuesday. Glendale (13-4, 4-1 in the division) overcame a 4-1 deficit, as Cam Gardener hit a two-run home run in the fifth to make it 4-3. Sergio Plasencia tied the game at 4 in the sixth with a solo home run.
