MEN’S TENNIS

Santa Barbara City College 7, Glendale Community College 2: Trevor Campbell and Grayson Frazier teamed up for an 8-3 doubles victory Thursday for host Glendale college in a Western State Conference match. Glendale (5-13, 2-6 in conference) got a 7-6 (7-4), 10-8 singles win from Mario Ruiz.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

Santa Barbara City College 7, Glendale Community College 2: Sofia Tavitian and Samantha Sismundo each recorded singles victories for visiting Glendale college (5-7, 4-4 in conference) on Thursday in a Western State Conference loss. Tavitian won, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, and Sismundo swept, 6-0, 6-0.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Salesian 3, Flintridge Prep 0: Kory Hamane had nine kills and Kareem Ismail added eight on Thursday for the visiting Rebels (8-10) in a 25-13, 25-18, 25-20 nonleague defeat.

BOYS’ TRACK AND FIELD

Glendale 69 1/2, Burroughs 66 1/2: Tristan Pacba and Mike Davis each won two events Wednesday for the Nitros in a Pacific League dual meet. Pacba captured the 110-meter hurdles in 16.3 seconds and the 300 hurdles (42.4). Davis won the 100 (10.5) and the 200 (22.0) to help the Nitros improve to 3-3 in league.

Glendale also received first-place performances from Siraj Landery in the high jump at 5 feet 8 inches and Bobby Casaburi in the long jump (18-9 1/2).

Glendale’s relay team of Davis, Pacba, Jeff Massin and Carlos Navarro won the 4x100 (43.9) and the 4x400 (3:28).

GIRLS’ TRACK AND FIELD

Burroughs 102, Glendale 34: Leana Setian won a pair of events Wednesday for the Nitros in a Pacific League dual meet. Setian captured the 1,600-meter race in 5 minutes 14.6 seconds and the 800 (2:28.6). Glendale dropped to 4-2 in league.

BOYS’ GOLF

Village Christian 218, Flintridge Prep 244: Jack Bouchard shot an even-par 34 on Wednesday for the Rebels (5-6) in a nonleague match at Chevy Chase Country Club.
