Bagpipes help raise Verdugo Hills Hospital funds

Festive decorations, enticing prizes and a surprise bagpipe performance were hallmarks of this year’s bingo luncheon organized by the Women’s Council for the Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation.

Twenty lucky participants won bingo games during the event, which raised nearly $3,200 for the hospital. The guest bagpiper was Dr. Karen McIlvena, an anesthesiologist at the hospital.
