Along the Scouting Trails

A Boy Scout troop from La Cañada Flintridge won awards at a camporee for the second year in a row.

The Rose Bowl District Camporee at Monrovia’s Camp Trask feted the Troop 507 and one patrol retained the title of the Flaming Arrows. Over 300 scouts participated in the event. The troop sent three patrols, and all received Presidential ribbons, which is given to the top patrols.

The scouts learned about first aid, campsite inspection, fire building and other skills at the event.

The troop’s co-scoutmaster, John Moe, said in a statement that all the local scouts were “simply tremendous” at the camporee.
