La Cañada area events CANCELED: ‘Mother Nature’ musical, LCF Chamber Mixer, ‘Lamb of God’ performance

La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce Mixer and Ribbon-cutting EventThursday, March 19, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Cafe x2o, 456 Foothill Blvd., Suite C, La Cañada Flintridge, hosts this month’s chamber mixer. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Mediterranean restaurant will take place at 5:30 p.m., followed by the mixer at 6 p.m. Cost to attend is $10 for LCF Chamber members; $20 nonmembers. PERFORMANCE

So, Who Is This Mother Nature, Anyway?”— Friday, March 13, 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 14, 4 p.m.; Sunday, March 15, 2 p.m. Three curious kids go on a quest to find out more about “Mother Nature,” who shows her true colors as she proudly shares her creation. Presented by the NewSong Singers, this musical is for all ages 5 and up. The performances will be held in the Worship Arts Center at La Cañada Presbyterian Church, 626 Foothill Blvd., La Cañada. “Lamb of God” oratorio by Rob GardnerSaturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15, 7 p.m. both dates. Performed by 50-plus voices from a coalition of churches from around the greater Crescenta Valley, the performances will be hosted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4550 Raymond Ave., La Crescenta. These free performances will be accompanied by a professional orchestra and conducted by James Thatcher of the Pasadena Symphony. Vocal soloists include Michael Thatcher, Kevin Odekirk and Adam Daveline. CANCELED due to coronavirus concerns.
