Graduating high school seniors invited to apply for La Cañada Thursday Club scholarships

Teens who live in or attend school in La Cañada Flintridge and are poised to graduate this year are invited to apply for scholarships offered by the La Cañada Thursday Club.

Last year, 13 graduating high school seniors were selected as winners of the 2018 scholarships after a record number of applications were received.

Thursday Club Foundation Scholarship winners demonstrate high academic achievement and community service and show potential for success, according to club officials.

Those applying for a Denise Greenawalt Scholarship are considered not only in the realm of academic achievement but also because they have triumphed over an obstacle, hardship or extenuating circumstance.

Applications can be found at lacanadathursdayclub.org. The deadline to apply is Monday, Feb. 25.
