Club News: LC Juniors visit Santa Anita Park

Racehorse owner and La Cañada Junior Women’s Club member Sarah Keh recently hosted “A VIP Behind the Gates Party” at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia.

In attendance were Nancy, Todd and Brendan Hempstead, Shannon and John Peterson, Janine and Matt Purdy, Kristine Baker and Stephanie Wiley. The guests had the rare opportunity the shadow top horse trainer Doug O’Neill.

They also enjoyed a lunch at the Front Runner Restaurant before the main event, where they viewed the horses being saddled and prepared for the race. The guests then joined the racing jockey at the paddock for photos before heading to the stands to experience a very close and exciting race.

Proceeds raised from this event and the Junior’s Annual Fall Fundraiser “A Night at The Races” benefit Elizabeth House and Pasadena Ronald McDonald House.
