Gatherings: Fiesta for club’s home dining group

The La Cañada Thursday Club’s Home Dining Group recently celebrated the end of their season with a fiesta at the clubhouse on Woodleigh Lane. Flavored margaritas flowed from the bar as a traditional Mexican meal was served and strolling mariachis filled the clubhouse with sounds from south of the border.

The party was planned by chairman Angelica Edelbrock and committee members Stephen Edelbrock, Nancy Fraines, Joanne Gilson, Melida Liptak, Dave MacPherson, Dave Moffett and Sue Tutt.

Stardusters gather for dance

A private club in Pasadena was the venue when the Stardusters recently held a dance themed “Fascinatin’ Rhythm.” Swing 4 Sale provided the music for the event. Host was Tony Phillips and the dance chairmen were Stefi and Kent Kuster. Serving on the Kusters’ committee were Polly and Brent Allen, Heather and Carl Emge and Jean and RonZink.

The tables were decorated with green napkins and a centerpiece of spring flowers. The petite lamb chops with mint dipping sauce appetizers were a big hit.
