Republican Club to host candidates debate

The La Cañada Republican Club announced Tuesday it will host a debate of candidates seeking election to the La Cañada Unified School District Governing Board in the November election. The debate, which is open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge, 4469 Chevy Chase Drive.

“It is critical that every candidate be provided every opportunity to be heard so that the public can make informed decisions about who they wish to have serve as its representatives,” stated Al Restivo, chairman of the local Republican organization.

The four candidates, who appeared together at a forum held Monday at La Cañada High School, are Andrew “AJ” Blumenfeld, incumbent Jeanne Broberg, Ernest Koeppen and Ellen Multari.
