La Cañada Presbyterian Church recently partnered with Harambee Ministries to help Northwest Pasadena elementary students create Christmas tree ornaments for use in the church’s Christmas missions market. Harambee will hold its Christmas program at 6 o’clock tonight at the Harambee campus, 1609 Navarro Ave., Pasadena. The program is open to the public. The students will sing and perform, and La Cañada Presbyterian Church will deliver gifts to the children.

In other La Cañada Presbyterian Church news, a number of services are planned in coming days. Four Christmas Eve worship services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 24. The church also plans special services for Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

At 4 and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 24, the services will feature drama, dance, multimedia and candlelight (by battery, for safety), with the children’s and youth choirs singing traditional carols. The 7:30 service will feature the church’s praise band and the vocals of Andrew Pratt, LCPC’s assistant director of music and worship arts. At 10 p.m., the worship service is built around singing carols and reading the story of Jesus’ birth. The jazz band will present a pre-service concert at 9:30 p.m. There will be one service on Christmas Day, at 10 a.m.
